A Special Note From Rose What happens when we step out of our everyday lives and join together, strengthen friendships, and spend focused time on God? Why should you attend the conference this fall? I struggle for words to describe why you should consider coming to conference, because if you have never been, it’s hard to describe. It’s hard to describe the squeals of joy during registration as long lost friends see each other again. It’s hard to describe the feeling of hearing 1,000 women sing and worship with all their hearts. It’s hard to describe watching women let go of things they had been holding on to, watching their sisters minister to them with words, prayer, hugs, and strength. It’s also hard to describe the late night gatherings for fellowship, snacks and games – the giggling can be heard down the hall! It’s hard to describe watching a PWOC sister see that she is not just in a little Bible Study, but there are thousands of women throughout the world that are connected through PWOC International. It’s hard to describe how a weekend like this can turn acquaintances into friends, and friends into sisters. I think it is a little taste of what heaven will be like. And once you’ve been to one, I think you’ll agree. Personally, deciding to attend a PWOC conference the first time was a little tough for me – I was not in leadership, I had small children, and I just couldn’t see myself going. But God wanted me there, and He took away all my excuses. Once I had a taste of the fellowship, worship, teaching, and pure JOY of being at a PWOC Conference, I was hooked! I’ve made it a point to attend PWOC conferences ever since – and I’d love to have you join us THIS YEAR. I hope to see you there! Rose |
