Frequently asked Questions

What is Traveling Training?
Every year trainers from your region come to your installation, or an installation close to you, to provide "information and inspiration."  The program includes new spiritual growth workshops each year, a discussion of the overall ministry of PWOC and leadership training.

Why is Traveling Training offered?
Offering training at the local level enables a greater number of women the opportunity to participate.

Who can attend?
All women who are interested in PWOC are welcome!  The training is valuable not only for present or incoming board members, but anyone who has a desire to participate in the Lord's ministry in any way.

When is Traveling Training held?
Most chapters request a Saturday training date, so children can stay at home with Dad.  If arranging for childcare and scheduling a week day training better accommodates your installation's needs, we will work with you regarding a suitable date.

What is the time commitment?
The typical daytime session of Traveling Training is designed to run from
8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This schedule includes a break at
lunch and several short breaks between workshops but can be adjusted to meet the needs of your installation.

How much will it cost?
PWOC covers the expenses incurred by trainers as well as the cost of all training materials. Attendance is free to all
participants. The hosting installation is asked to reserve a training facility, to provide accommodations for trainers, and to arrange for snack and lunch for participants the day of training. Brown bag lunches or pot-luck works great!
