An Inexpensive gift for Many Occasions

The plastic covers are scrapbook/album page protectors/covers that are 6" x 6" from any craft store.  (Hobby Lobby has them on sale from time to time.)  Cut cardstock to 6"x6" size and add the typed recipes and accessories. The rings are from an office supply store such as Office Depot/Office Max.

It's great because you not only cherish favorite family recipes, but this idea is so versatile you can hang it in your kitchen, add to it, embellish it as much or as little as you want, and the plastic sleeves protect your favorite recipes!  It was fun and very rewarding as my grandmother loved what I did with her recipes and the family enjoyed having some of grandma's recipes that they could try!

Try having a PWOC craft day for your local ladies.  Select the recipes that your ladies ooooh and aaaah about on a regular basis. This could make an inexpensive gift for……………….

  1. Speakers and guest musicians
  2. Farewells
  3. Board Members/Committee Members
  4. Newcomers – Try having an informational booklet about your Installation, PWOC, and important phone numbers.
  5. Local Program Day Favor - Poetry or Devotions to to match your Theme
  6. Meet and Greet – Add pictures of ladies in your PWOC along with their favorite saying or scripture.  Maybe your Board members.
  7. Outreach for Crisis centers/ single soldier/parent groups, etc. – Put together helpful cooking tips, childrearing encouragement, money saving ideas.
  8. Deployed Spouses Groups – Add pictures, news articles, kids pictures and awards, letters, etc. to send to the deployed soldier.
